Regarding question "Upgrade of Joomla 4 and SIGE"

Regarding question "Upgrade of Joomla 4 and SIGE" was created by hajo70
8 months ago I asked about the update process from J3 to J4 and SIGE. Since I had to wait for another extension I haven't updated yet. In your response you gave me two alternatives. Both had their drawbacks, the first one "This approach will keep your custom settings, but some previous files from the 3.x version will stay (you could remove them manually)".

What files would I need to remove?
I suppose you would go for the first approach?
