Unable to truncate title of metadata to 65 character

Hi vitja i'll try to truncate the length of my metada title, but that dont work,

i have specified maximum number of character to 65 in metadata but he don't truncate the title to 65 chars

but that dont work :

i'll try to optimise my seo, but if i truncate title for seo i think that joomla itself will keep and display the original title when reading article.

i'm wrong ?
