Infrastructure Upgrade + Easy Joomla Forms Coming Soon

Hello KRJE community,

I want to share two exciting updates from the Kubik-Rubik Joomla! project.

First of all, this weekend I will be updating and rescaling the server setup at my hosting provider, Hetzner, to further improve performance, stability, and reliability for all project services. This is part of my continuous effort to keep the infrastructure behind Kubik-Rubik Joomla! Extensions fast, stable and future-proof.

During this maintenance window, there may be a short period of limited availability or temporary downtime. This can also affect related services such as the download server and the license server for a brief time. I expect any interruption to be as short as possible and appreciate your understanding while the infrastructure is being improved.

I also want to say very clearly that I am extremely happy with Hetzner. Their servers have been a fantastic foundation for my projects for a long time now. The performance, reliability and overall quality have been excellent, and I truly appreciate how dependable their infrastructure is. I am very satisfied with their service and will definitely continue using their great servers in the future.

And now to the even bigger news:

Easy Joomla Forms is almost here!

My brand-new Joomla! component Easy Joomla Forms is getting very close to its first release. If everything continues as planned, I expect to publish it within the next couple of days — and quite possibly already this weekend.

This is a project I have been working on with a lot of passion, and I am very excited to finally bring it to Joomla! community.

For a long time, a professional-forms solution has been the most requested missing extension type among my Pro users. I have received many requests over the years for a flexible, modern and powerful form builder that fits naturally into the Kubik-Rubik portfolio. With Easy Joomla Forms, this gap is finally about to be closed.

Easy Joomla Forms is a new professional form builder and submission manager for Joomla! 6, created for users who want to build secure, modern and feature-rich forms without writing a single line of code. At the same time, it is powerful and flexible enough for advanced use cases and developer-driven extensions.

The first version already includes a strong set of built-in field types, including text, textarea, email, number, date, password, select, radio, checkbox, checkbox groups, file upload, hidden fields, HTML content, and consent fields. Additional field types can be added through the dedicated plugin group, making the whole system highly extendable right from the start.

One of the biggest strengths of Easy Joomla Forms is its flexible post-submission workflow. After a successful form submission, you can run unlimited configurable actions such as storing the submission in the database, sending notification emails, sending autoresponders, delivering downloads, triggering webhooks or extending the system with integrations like Slack. Every action is logged with its execution result, which makes debugging and transparency much easier.

Security and spam protection were also major priorities during development. Easy Joomla Forms supports native integration with EasyCalcCheck Captcha, my own captcha plugin for Joomla!, and adds multiple additional protection layers, such as honeypots, JavaScript-based bot traps, randomised field names and IDs, configurable rate limiting, CSRF token validation, and GDPR-friendly IP handling, with optional SHA-256 hashing.

Beyond form creation, the component also includes powerful backend submission management features, including filtering, sorting, search, status tracking, and JSON export. There is also a detailed submission view with per-action logging, built-in statistics and analytics, form import/export, support for form duplication, publish controls, and per-form overrides for security settings.

Embedding forms is flexible as well: forms can be displayed via the component (dedicated menu items), modules, or shortcode integration within articles and custom HTML modules.

For developers, Easy Joomla Forms also offers a clean SDK with typed interfaces and value objects, enabling the creation of custom field types and actions in a structured, future-proof way.

I am really looking forward to releasing this new component very soon. My goal with Easy Joomla Forms is to provide the Joomla! community with a modern, secure, extensible and professional forms solution that fits perfectly into the Kubik-Rubik portfolio.
