ECC not working with JomSocial Registration form

When I use easycalc with the regular joomla registration form, it works fine.

However, when I use it with jomsocial, upon trying to complete the first page of registration there is a popup window stating "Notice - info is required. Make sure it contains a valid value!" even though a valid value has been entered. If I click OK and click next again, the form will submit without the popup, however it throws an error that the calc answer is incorrect, even though it is correct.
