Changing page background color

First of all, thank you for this plugin - it is very easy to use and is exactly what I was looking for!

I am using lytebox and I would like to change the background color of the page (space between images in the gallery from its current white to black or a specific repeated .png file) Does this need to be changed in the .js file? I am familiar with .css files, but not with .js Can someone point me in the right direction?
