Warning: No Images in given directory

I am using Joomla 1.7 and having a hard to with display some galleries and i dont know why....

All the files in the directory at at 755, So far, some galleries show up and some dont. I have toggled the editor to make sure there is no other code mixed in. I have changed the perimeters around in several ways but no luck.

Warning: No images in given directory. Please check the directoy!

I also moved the folder around and tried that but still got the same message. The directory fold originally had May2011/Page1 and I tried without the numbers but obviously, still nothing.
