The installation package contains a multifactorauth plugin for Joomla! >= 4.4.0 and PHP >= 8.1.0.

You require a software-based authenticator that implements two-step verification services using the Time-based One-time Password Algorithm (TOTP; specified in RFC 6238) on your smartphone or desktop (e.g. Authy, Google Authenticator or LastPass Authenticator).

This is an extended version of Joomla's Multi-factor Authentication plugin. This version adds the "Remember Device" and "Client Interface" features.
