How does the automatic work?

Just to understand it: after new installation of EFSEO and setting the option "automatic" procedures to yes, both meta fields of EFSEO and the original - already existing - article were empty. And no move with the mouse over the fields (as seen in the video tutorial) did change it. Next day re-opening the website, EFSEO presented both meta fields filled, ready to take over into the core db. I welcome this miracle, but still wish to know, when it happens and how to implement it, when writing a new article. Thank you for your patience with a newbie.
