ECC+ wrongly says "I failed the spam check"

This appears to be a bug:
I am using the "Custom Call" option on a page with a form. On pages with ECC+ active, if I attempt to link to a different page, the link fails on the first click. On the second click, the following page tells me I failed the spam check! I did not submit a form, why am I failing the spam check?
