Virtuemart ask a question form hangs

Hi Guys,

This was all working fine. Then I got failed spam checks despite correct answers, now the virtuemart form just hangs when clicking submit.

I have added some custom fields to the form such as phone number, delivery address and postcode.
IF the eec+ plugin is off, it all works fine. When I turn it on, I can see the spam question, but as I said now the form just hangs!
Any ideas on why?

I have read posts similar to this and have disabled all of the extras such as akismet and so on.
It works fine on registration via virtuemart, just not on the ask a question form.
Joomla 15.5.22 virtuemart 1.1.9 artisteer template (button is set to yes)
